Visit Our Beautiful Remodel
Nevada Homebuilder magazine re-launched its website Nov. 1. The new design of homebuilder-nv.com is attractive, user friendly and empowers visitors to quickly search for vendors.
"We updated the look to be more contemporary and to allow users to pick and choose content they want to view in an instant," says Theo Tigno, website designer for Scottsdale-based Linder Publishing, parent company of Arizona Homebuilder. "We've given homebuilders-and the general public-the ability to find building-related products and services by category."
The "Find a Vendor" section features a drop-down menu of more than 35 categories. Users may click on an area-such as banking, engineering or cabinetry-and a list of preferred vendors will appear with direct links to their websites.
Articles, profiles and news from the hard-copy magazine can also be found on the website. In addition, homebuilder-az.com features the "ToolBase News" RSS feed from the National Association of Home Builders, and a scrolling link to local homebuilder news.
Just the Beginning
"Developing a vital website takes time," says Nevada Homebuilder Editor Kimberly Hundley. "Our goal is to make the website the print magazine's evolving partner. In this medium, we can bring homebuilders the information and forums they crave in a timely manner."
Linder Publishing has dedicated enormous resources to long-term website development. Plans on the crowded drawing board include a comprehensive calendar of statewide events, online subscriptions, a searchable archive and innovatively showcasing industry products and services.
"Since we're not a political association, we're in a position to provide a free-flowing forum for the industry," Hundley said. "But our growing content really comes down to what homebuilders want to see at homebuilder-nv.com. This website is for them."
